When I was in plot my tomato plants were bigger and some of them full of green tomatoes. I am sure I will eat tomatoes when I will go there again in July if the plants survive without watering.

Orange Banana tomato is one of my favorite varieties until now.

Silvery Fir tomato with its strange leaves had many tomatoes in every plant. The tomatoes are in the middle of the plant 10 cm above the soil. It was difficult to tie up the branches but ok this is my problem only because I late to tie up my tomato plants.

Yellow-Taxi tomato. This year I was lucky and I have 2 plants! It was my last seeds and this variety has its story in my garden because I had seen this tomato in Patrick’s blog 2 years before and he ask me if I wanted seeds. I said yes and after Patrick ask me if I wanted other seeds also and he send me 4-5 seeds from many colorful tomato varieties. So for me, it’s a special tomato for this reason.

Well that’s the photos I have this moment. The good part is that this year I grow some new heirloom varieties so I will grow my small seed bank also.

It’s so funny but when I come back to city from plot the weather change and we have a hot summer weather.  The days you can’t do anything, you just sit on a chair and swelter.

When I was in plot the sea was near but the weather was cold and rainy. Someone laugh with me…

I have many news for the plot but I can’t write about those news now, I must wait some months to see the outcome.  The news are good so far.

So much work to do and I didn’t find time to take a photo from plot. We had a strong rainstorm on Saturday and the road outside had problem because the last 350m it’s just soil road. The good news is that we harvest rainwater, we have 7200 litres now and this is very good for the summer.

This is the first time I have internet in plot, it’s funny because I didn’t have anything else but I have internet. For the moment I can work just 30 minutes every day with netbook. Next month I hope I will find a way to recharge it once.

These days I continue clean weeds. Well I can’t do anything else, the weather it’s cold for the sea. Some tourists swim but I think it’s hot for them if they live in cold countries. I need at least 32-36 celsius to swim.

My tomato plants are growing and for the moment they don’t need watering because of rain. I will take some photos the next days.

I grow my first corn this year and I am very happy about this because it’s a special corn. My corn is a greek traditional variety and I found 8 corn kernels from a local small organization.

I gave 2 corn kernels in a neighbor and  I have sown the 6 of them. I have sown the seeds in small containers because I wanted to save time. Now I have 4 corn plants and I will go to the plot next week to transplant them.

I really want to follow the permaculture in my plot. I understand how useful is the mulch and straw for the soil and plants. But I really hate the snakes.

I usually don’t have problem with wild fauna. I was study about fauna, I work many years for wild animals protection, I let a brown bear to whittle my hand, I snuggle a baby wolf, I help big birds of prey and many other animals but I hate snakes.

In the area of my plot we have vipers. It’s the most dangerous snake in my country. Usually we clean all the weeds around the house so it’s easier to protect ourselves from vipers. It’s easier to see a snake in a clean space.
