My big gardening experiment for this year is to grow potatoes in container. I don’t know why I’ am doing this, maybe just for fun or because I am enough curious for the results.

I didn’t buy potato seed tubers. I just take a potato with sprouts from my kitchen the last week of February and I plant it in my container. This was some days before plant potatoes in my plot.  I have no idea if the potatoes in plot grow because I didn’t went there again until now, but I know that my potato plant in container here in city garden it’s absolutely beautiful.

It’s a big plant full of leaves and it was the most green plant in my city garden the first days of spring. I have no idea if it will give me potatoes ot not, but I have no problem because I like it as plant this moment.

Please don’t laugh with me, it’s my first potato plant ever and I am very happy. I plant in one big container. The container I think it’s 25 lt and I didn’t buy it, It was used for something else before  and i take it outside from my street trash-can. I think it’s good to re-use and recycle things.

So, the potato plant growing healthy without problems and now I am waiting to see the first potato flowers…
