I receive the seeds from UK. So tiny and beautiful, I love them. I know It’s too late but I sow few tomato seeds because I want to see the plants. We don’t have these kinds here (Cream Sausage and Yellow Pear/Cherry Bell). I also sow some seeds from one unknown for me, red cabbage (Mammoth Red Rock). Now I have in water some “White Bush Scallop” squash seeds and I will sowing them tomorrow.

What else? I transplant some seedlings today and I learn how to make Newspaper Seed Starter Pots. It’s very easy method and I like it.

  1. Tomatoes are fast growing – so as you have such good weather in Greece they may still do well. Good luck with them.

  2. @easygardener Thank you! I hope for this. We have hot days in Greece now

  3. I’m growing a lot of different tomatoes of lots of different colors and sizes this year. I save my own seeds to share with others. If all goes well and I have some extra, I could send you some seeds next year (for free) if you were interested. This is a list of what I’m growing:

‘Black’ tomatoes (they are really brown or purple) taste very nice. If you have never had one before, I suggest growing some sometime.

In fact I save seeds for most of the plants on my blog so if you ever see anything you want, let me know and maybe I have some extra seeds I could send you.

I have a lot of interesting garlic too.

  4. @Patrick thank you!
I have never see real “black tomatoes”. Neither cream or yellow and for this reason I buy some seeds from UK. We have just red tomatoes here.
    And I love garlics!
I will search your blog to see what you grow for sure!
I want to start save seeds too. Now I have only some pumpkin seeds from my mother but we don’t know the variety. This is the problem with old people here, all tomatoes are tomatoes and all pumpkins are pumpkins. They don’t know the varieties :)
