One of the greens I love to grow in my container garden is the rocket (Eruca sativa). I love the peppery flavor of these leaves. Eruca sativa grows easily in containers ans pots. I sowed some seeds back in November and I sowed seeds again in March.
This week I harvest my last green lettuce from containers. Most of my lettuce planted in plot but I keep some of them in 2 containers for my urban balcony vegetable garden.
For me it’s the first year I grow lettuce in containers. I think they are grow easily if they have space. Next year I will sow again, but now I need my containers for my tomato seedlings. So I make a lettuce salad and clean the container for the next summer plants.
I know you had Easter last week, but in Greece and Orthodox church we have Easter today so I must wish you Happy Easter!
I feel my stomach full this moment, but it’s ok. Traditionally we eat so much every Easter in Greece and after lunch every Greek search for soda water.
We have good weather and sun today, so we had barbecue in balcony for the lunch of my family.

I’ m not so happy these days. For many years every summer I had one big nightflower in the sidewalk of street. I like it very much, it was good for me to see it from my window.
The electricity company dig the sidewalk this week because they will put the electricity cables underground. It was not the first time, they dig often the sidewalk for many reasons like telephony or water supply and I am sure that will dig it again for natural gas.
I start my first round of tomato seeds on February 8 outdoor except one plant that sowed in January. The only thing I do to protect my seeds it was to cover the small pots with plastic. We had bad weather so they need more days to germinate. Now I have my first seedlings and I think they are beautiful so let’s see some photos.
