Rain of June

So much work to do and I didn’t find time to take a photo from plot. We had a strong rainstorm on Saturday and the road outside had problem because the last 350m it’s just soil road. The good news is that we harvest rainwater, we have 7200 litres now and this is very good for the summer.

This is the first time I have internet in plot, it’s funny because I didn’t have anything else but I have internet. For the moment I can work just 30 minutes every day with netbook. Next month I hope I will find a way to recharge it once.

These days I continue clean weeds. Well I can’t do anything else, the weather it’s cold for the sea. Some tourists swim but I think it’s hot for them if they live in cold countries. I need at least 32-36 celsius to swim.

My tomato plants are growing and for the moment they don’t need watering because of rain. I will take some photos the next days.

  1. We seem to be spared the bad weather now. We had some people visiting who went swimming in the sea and I need to water my tomatoes now.

  2. We’re in our rainy season now…very hot, humid, and stormy most every afternoon. I think it’s funny when the tourists come in the spring and go swimming, while the residents wear jackets. :) Like you said, though, they’re from the cold areas.

@Heiko the nights were cold these days and I think the sea can’t warm enough in the morning. June has rain every night or every other night until now.

@kimberly they really must suffer with 40ºC (104ºF), well ok we hate these numbers also :)
    Generally I love rain

  4. The sea is still too cold to swim here too – except maybe for tourists! The rain has brought you a good supply of water.
Re your comment on my blog: the local olive variety here is Lucque, which originally came from Lucca in Italy but is widely grown here now. It has long pointed fruits and stones and a delicate flavour when picked green. Of course, people here say that it’s the best olive!

@chaiselongue we have summer now! it’s so hot! I wish for a rain again :P
Thanks for the answer about the olives. I think people from everywhere tell the same about their olives. I grow a local variety which has the name of the area
