Last year I plant some celery roots, this year I had traditional organic celery seeds from a seed bank so I start my seeds and I have some seedlings.

I must cut some of them or transplant them in other pots because they are so many celery seedlings in this flowerpot now.
This month I’m growing enough plants from seeds. But my celery has a different story. One day my mother came from market (something like farmers market). She went to her kitchen and when cut the celery which needed for cooking, she noted that the celery had entire roots. One hour later she ask me if I want to plant some celery roots.

It seemed funny to me at the beginning, but I decided to give them a chance. I planted the celery roots in a pot and after 2-3 days I saw the first fresh leaves. I think that next week I can cut and use my celery. And of course I will cut only the stems and leaves with a knife and I will let my roots to grow more celery.
I don’t think that I will buy celery again this summer. I have mine.
