Do you remember my Redhaven Peach tree? I plant this tree last year and now it has small peaches already.

But I don’t have only good news, I also have bad news for this tree.

Last year many people ask me about late blight and it was difficult for me to understand what late blight is. One year later I read the latin name for late blight which is phytophtora infestans and it was easier for me to find the greek name for this problem.
In Greek we call it “peronosporos”. I have no idea why we call it with this name but “sporos” is the word for seed. The funny part is that we used a quote here with the word “peronosporos” when a place is empty and we can’t see people or when people left from a place.
As I can understand we use the same word for different problems in plants and we can find it in vineyards, potatoes, tomatoes and some other with the same greek name but different latin name. Something like “late blight of tomato” or “late blight of potato”.
I think the big problem here is in vineyards mostly but I am not so sure for the others plants.
