This week I harvest my last green lettuce from containers. Most of my lettuce planted in plot but I keep some of them in 2 containers for my urban balcony vegetable garden.
For me it’s the first year I grow lettuce in containers. I think they are grow easily if they have space. Next year I will sow again, but now I need my containers for my tomato seedlings. So I make a lettuce salad and clean the container for the next summer plants.
Some people used to said that Greek oregano is the best oregano. I can’t add anything else about this. Hm… only that in the area of my plot I can harvest the absolutely best and flavour wild oregano.
I can’t buy oregano. I can’t use oregano from supermarket. I don’t like it and usually is old without the known flavour. My oregano from last year has most aroma from the oregano which usually sell in markets. For this reason I can understand how old are the oregano in markets.

The plot has pine forest near but these pines are not good for harvest because they have small seeds in their pinecones. But we had planted 3 Pinus pinea (Stone Pine) trees in the plot some years before when I was child and now they grew enough for harvesting. Pinus Pinea trees has been cultivated for its nuts for over 6000 years, and harvested from wild trees for far longer.
This is the first harvesting year for our pines. I didn’t knew how to harvest them because some pinecones was so high. I cut some small branches to make space for the ladder (I don’t know if it’s the right word 
) but it was still difficult to harvest all the pinecones.
I think that the best time to harvest my plum tree is now, but I harvest it many days before constrainedly, because this week I am in my city and not there.
The fruits was not ready but ok, you can cut it from the tree and leave it alone until they set. I have many fruits in my fridge now and they are sweet and delicious.

My pepper and cherry tomato plants was alive in plot but no so big because of watering. But I harvest my first peppers and cherry tomatoes.
These peppers must be red but I harvest them early because I can go again to the plot next month. Cherry tomatoes don’t have problem to grow without watering from me. We eat a lot of them in the week I was there.
