As I was said before we work in plot by hand traditional tools only. This is not easy because the plot is big and the weeds many every year. Usually we can’t clean all the area by hands so we clean only a small area around the vegetable garden and house.

We don’t have electricity in plot so the only power tools we can buy are the tools which work with gasoline. Usually these tools are more expensive than the tools which work with electricity. (Ehmmmmm and gasoline is not so cheap in Greece anymore, I think we have the most expensive gasoline in Europe now)

So this year I decide to buy the first power tool for the plot. I went to Leroy-Merlin yesterday and I bought a grass trimmer (voltor-v2140) which they have in sale with €130. I can’t find any info for this trimmer only that is spanish and you can find it in Leroy-Merlin shops. I hope that will work and cut my weeds

Beside this I bought oil for the trimmer, 50m trimmer line, ear defenders for the noise and my friend bought me the visor for face protection as gift. All these cost something like €40 in addition to trimmer.

The box of trimmer was really huge. My friend has a toyota yaris and we drop the front seat of the car to put it inside and bring it home. I think it’s something like 1.5-1.8m if it’s not longer. My father has a grille in his car so I hope it will be easier to transfer it to plot.

This trimmer start a new era for my plot….
